The Sockers Youth Foundation, Ltd was founded in 2000 by David Richardson, Nilton “BATATA” DaSilva and Mary Magee on the underlying belief that the game of soccer provides an excellent forum to instill life values in young people that will prepare them to be responsible productive members of society and the community in adulthood. The Foundation will provide an opportunity for young people who would not otherwise participate in the sport of soccer.
The Foundation will operate as a not-for-profit Foundation under the laws of the state of Illinois and shall pursue and maintain a tax exempt status pursuant to Section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended from time to time.
